Pravash Karki

Pravash Karki is a tech entrepreneur and educator who was born in Paati Kharka, Kavre, and raised in various parts of Nepal, including Butwal, Hetauda, and Nijgadh. His early passion for art and drawing led him to learn computer graphics and web design in Kathmandu, where he initially worked editing photo backgrounds and sending faxes. Despite dropping out of his initial business studies in Nepal and later a multimedia program in the UK, Karki eventually earned his bachelor's degree from Islington College and recently completed his master's degree in data analytics and cybersecurity. He built his foundational technical skills by working intensive double shifts for outsourcing companies, where he gained valuable exposure to minimal design principles and business operations.

Karki is the founder of Last Door, a B2B service company that he established and grew with the support of his wife. Over the years, he expanded his entrepreneurial footprint by launching multiple product and service ventures across various sectors, including the iOS app Batti Gayo, a custom T-shirt brand called Neptiz, and a product-making company called IDLAI. After navigating the intense challenges of rapid scaling, downsizing, and a personal identity crisis, Karki restructured his business to focus on a sustainable, subscription-based productized service model tailored for the travel and tourism industry. He also shares his expertise with the next generation, having taught human-computer interaction at Herald College.
