Pranab Lohani

Pranab Lohani began his professional journey after completing his A-levels in Nepal and moving to the United States in 2001 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship in Philadelphia. Upon graduating in 2005, he started his career as an analyst at an investment bank in San Francisco, where he spent three years advising on mergers, acquisitions, and company valuations. He later relocated to New York City, transitioning to the investment side to work as an analyst for hedge funds specializing in long-short equity. Over the course of nearly fourteen years on Wall Street, Lohani developed deep expertise in analyzing business models, management teams, and market dynamics before deciding to return to Nepal to build his second career.

Driven by a desire to be closer to family and establish his own entrepreneurial venture, Lohani returned to Nepal and founded Khagraj Krishi Udhyog in Ghorahi, Dang. Named in honor of his grandfather, a pioneering local farmer, the company utilizes advanced greenhouse technology to cultivate high-quality colored capsicum. Under his leadership, the agribusiness successfully achieved operational profitability in its second season while creating local employment and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
