Anita Poudel
Anita Poudel serves as a Director at the Nepal Administrative Staff College, a public sector think tank and capacity-building institution. Currently in her eighth year with the organization, she originally joined as a Training and Research Officer and advanced to her current leadership role through competitive examinations. In her work, she oversees the upskilling of government employees through programs such as the flagship Basic Administration Training for new officers, mandatory in-service promotional training, and customized demand-based courses. She is deeply motivated by the multiplier effect of her work, aiming to inspire public servants to implement innovative, citizen-centric changes in their respective workplaces.
Before her career in the public sector, Poudel completed her MBA at Ace, graduating with distinction. She gained diverse professional experience working in the private sector at the startup Biruwa Ventures and later joined the United Nations World Food Programme, where she worked with the Logistics Cluster during earthquake emergency efforts. Additionally, she has a strong background in civic engagement, having participated in the US Embassy Youth Council, volunteered on education projects with Teach for Nepal, and collaborated with the Samriddhi Foundation. She chose to transition to the Nepal Administrative Staff College to channel her academic achievements and professional skills directly into national development.
