Alok Khatri

Alok Khatri is an industrial engineer and data scientist who identifies as a third-generation community builder, carrying on a family legacy of bringing disconnected people together. After briefly studying in Kathmandu, he completed his industrial engineering degree at Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh, India. During his college years, he joined the youth-run non-profit organization AIESEC and made history in 2015 by becoming the first non-Indian elected president of AIESEC India. This leadership role allowed him to manage thousands of members across multiple cities and travel to thirty countries, which deeply shaped his understanding of global communication and community dynamics.

In his professional career, Khatri has spent years working in the blockchain industry with a Bay Area-based company and has dedicated the last three years to online community building. He co-founded AI for Growth, a digital program established in collaboration with NAMI and Kings College that has grown into Nepal's largest AI community. Alongside teaching at Kings College and running a coaching practice to help teachers integrate AI, Khatri is a dedicated athlete who completed an Ironman triathlon, training in Nepal despite the country's lack of athletic infrastructure.
