Sagar Satyal

Sagar Satyal is the co-founder of My Emotions Matter, an organization that supports companies, colleges, and other institutions by teaching emotional intelligence as a mindset. He established the company with his close friend and co-founder, who later became his wife, and they currently operate with a small, dedicated team. Before launching this venture, Sagar competed in the Barclays Bank Global Business Challenge in South Africa in 2013 and later ran his first business organizing the same competition within Nepal.

Deeply committed to the philosophy of essentialism, Sagar believes in focusing on doing one thing exceptionally well rather than spreading oneself too thin. He views emotions as valuable data for self-improvement and advocates for practical self-awareness tools, such as reflecting on daily experiences using the rose, thorn, and bud method. In both his personal life and his professional consulting, Sagar strives to live the principles of emotional intelligence by maintaining an outward mindset and treating others with genuine empathy and respect.
