Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar

Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar is the CEO and founder of GV, a health technology app in Nepal that was established in 2019. Having studied engineering and previously worked in traditional business, he transitioned to entrepreneurship with a focus on solving systemic problems rather than just following business plans. Under his leadership, GV has grown to offer an integrated health ecosystem featuring an appointment scheduling system to reduce hospital wait times, an online pharmacy, a family data-sharing feature, and a peer-to-peer blood donation network. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kansakar directed his in-house tech team to rapidly develop and launch Namaste Doctor, a virtual consultation tool that enables patients to connect with healthcare professionals from home.

Kansakar is a strong advocate for leveraging technology to bring efficiency to the healthcare supply chain, lower patient costs, and ultimately save lives. He believes in a result-oriented work culture, the importance of adaptability during crises, and encouraging younger generations to question established traditions. With global aspirations for Nepali technology, he envisions GV as a comprehensive platform that empowers existing clinics and pharmacies rather than disrupting them. Outside of his work, Kansakar describes himself as a private individual who reads widely across various genres, including economics, politics, finance, and biographies.
