Paras Katuwal

Paras Katuwal is the director and CEO of NTS, a company formerly known as Nepal Thopa Sinchai that provides holistic agriculture solutions across Nepal. Under his leadership, the company has grown to serve a customer portfolio of 20,000 to 25,000 clients, ranging from small local farms to large-scale agricultural projects. NTS operates three main branches in Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Butwal, employing over 40 people and offering services that include drip irrigation, climate control, and greenhouse technologies. Over an eight-year period, the enterprise has achieved a growth rate of approximately 1,400 to 1,500 percent.

Katuwal began his career at the age of 16 and holds a Master of Business Administration degree. His entry into the agricultural sector was inspired by his father, a farmer who brought back technological insights after working on a farm in Israel. Katuwal advocates for treating agriculture as a structured, long-term industry, emphasizing the need for youth involvement, detailed business planning, and increased banking sector investments in farming. Guided by the philosophy of fearing failure to fuel hard work, he focuses on execution and smart solutions to make agriculture sustainable and profitable in Nepal.
