Vedika Murarka

Vedika Murarka is the co-founder of Educase, a for-profit social enterprise that designs school bags that fold into portable desks for children in government and community schools. She completed her bachelor's degree in India and earned her master's degree in innovation and entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics. During her master's program, Educase was conceived as a college course project before she and her co-founder decided to launch it as a business. To gain a deeper understanding of working with the government in Nepal, she also completed a six-month public policy fellowship with the Daitwo program, serving at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

In addition to leading Educase, Murarka works in her family's traditional business, contributing to business development, operations, and growth management. Her long-term goals for Educase include improving overall access to education, with a particular focus on girls' education, and expanding the enterprise to other countries. She has further developed her entrepreneurial skills through global initiatives, including the Yunus Youth Fellowship and the Because International Accelerator program.
