Sudeep Acharya

Sudeep Acharya is the managing director of Dish Home, the largest DTH platform in Nepal, which has expanded under his leadership to include fiber internet, cable operations, and digital streaming services. Born into an entrepreneurial family, Acharya has built a diverse career spanning multiple industries, including banking with Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, software, hydropower, and an early venture running a Mexican roti factory. After studying in the United States, where he gained business experience selling pashminas and carpets, he returned to Nepal in 2008 to establish stable, long-term enterprises.

As an active investor and business leader, Acharya is highly optimistic about Nepal's economic future and the creative potential of its youth, particularly in the software and digital content sectors. He advocates for a business philosophy of creating locally while thinking globally, emphasizing the need for robust monetization strategies and strict anti-piracy measures to protect artists and creators.
