Dip Jung Thapa

Dip Jung Thapa was born in Biratnagar and spent his early childhood in Khotang, Nepal, where he learned foundational business and sales lessons helping at his father's local shop. He completed his schooling across Nepal and India before pursuing an engineering degree at NIT Allahabad. During his college years, after his co-founder's email was hacked, Thapa co-founded his first cybersecurity venture, delivering ethical hacking workshops and registering a company in his second year. He later gained corporate experience as a product manager at Paytm before transitioning full-time to his startup in January 2017 after securing funding.

Today, Thapa is the co-founder of Krutikal and its subsidiary, Threatcop, where he leads the product division. Threatcop focuses on the human element of cybersecurity, offering simulated cyberattacks and gamified learning management systems to prevent human negligence. Under his leadership, the firm became the first to develop people-focused cybersecurity products in Asia. Thapa is currently guiding the company toward an initial public offering to raise capital for further global expansion into the Middle East and the United States.
