Shabda Gyawali

Shabda Gyawali serves as the Investment Director at Dolma Impact Fund, a private equity fund where he has worked for over ten years. He completed his undergraduate education in economics with a minor in business administration in the United States. During his studies, he gained early work experience as a barista and in apartment maintenance, followed by an internship as a sustainability analyst at JM Family Enterprise in Florida. He later returned to Nepal to work as an associate at Beed Management, a management consulting firm in Kathmandu, which provided him with deep exposure to diverse local industries including agribusiness, tourism, and finance.

Gyawali joined Dolma Impact Fund after connecting with the founder over a blog post about private equity in Nepal, volunteering in late 2010 before officially joining the team in 2011. In his role, he focuses on deploying risk capital and equity investments into small and medium-sized Nepali enterprises across renewable energy, healthcare, and technology. He is a passionate proponent of environmental, social, and corporate governance, and he advocates for long-term sustainable development, robust corporate hygiene, and the global competitiveness of Nepali companies.
