Krishna Prasad Bhandari

Krishna Prasad Bhandari, widely recognized by students as Guruba, is a dedicated Nepalese educator and entrepreneur. His teaching journey began during his bachelor's studies when he started tutoring to earn pocket money, which quickly evolved into a lifelong passion for instruction. After teaching school and management subjects for several years, he pursued his master's degree at Sangardev Campus. Recognizing the limitations of traditional classroom settings and the power of the internet, Bhandari and his team launched an educational YouTube channel from a friend's bedroom using a basic mobile phone and a whiteboard. Originally named K Vidyalaya, the platform was later rebranded as Guruba to create a catchy and memorable resource for students seeking accessible academic support.

Today, the Guruba platform has expanded significantly, boasting over five lakh organic subscribers and employing a core team of ten to eleven people. Bhandari's teaching philosophy prioritizes helping weak and average students pass their exams by presenting complex syllabus topics in a concise, simplified manner. Alongside the digital channel, he operates physical coaching classes in Kathmandu that serve an average of one hundred and fifty to two hundred students monthly. Looking to the future, Bhandari plans to grow his online student community to one million subscribers and establish a dedicated bachelor's college that bridges the gap between theoretical university curriculums and practical, real-world skill development.
