Kevin Roepke
Kevin Roepke is the Regional Director for South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa at the US Soybean Export Council. Raised on a farm in Iowa, he began his career in international agriculture shortly after college by trading soybean meal and exporting it to Mexico. Over his twenty-year career in global agricultural trade, he has lived and worked in China, Malaysia, and Mexico. Currently based in Dubai, he represents five hundred thousand American soybean farmers, focusing on market development, sustainable agricultural practices, and addressing food and nutrition security in emerging economies.
Throughout his career, Roepke has advocated for the integration of technology in farming, including precision agriculture, big data, and biotechnology. He is a strong supporter of the Soy Excellence Centers, which provide free technical training to early and mid-career professionals globally. As a leader, Roepke emphasizes the value of an intrapreneurial mindset, encouraging team members to solve complex problems and connect patterns within their organizations. He believes that embracing failure and continuous self-reflection are essential components of personal and professional growth.
