Dileep Dhakal

Dileep Dhakal is a seasoned product leader and entrepreneur with a rich background spanning over a decade in the tech industry. His career began as a web developer and designer, leading him to Silicon Valley in 2013 where he gained diverse experience across various startups, including a video advertising firm and Impeccable Studio, where he contributed to projects for Starbucks and Aruba Networks. He was part of a startup that achieved a successful acquisition before joining Walmart in 2015, where he spent four years working on e-commerce initiatives and internal hackathon-winning products. Following a stint at a Google Ventures startup, Alio, which was later acquired, Dhakal spent four years at Apple, deeply immersing himself in product development and customer experience, and testing innovative products like the Apple Vision Pro, which further fueled his passion for video-centric solutions.

Leveraging his extensive experience, Dileep Dhakal founded Veel App, a "Video Real Platform" designed to address the complex needs of the creator economy by connecting businesses, content creators, and video content. Veel App aims to streamline brand collaborations, ensure timely payments for creators, and provide advanced tools, including AI models for verifying video authenticity and free video editing capabilities that challenge industry leaders. With a team of over 100 employees based in Nepal, Veel App operates as a profitable, multi-faceted platform serving B2B, B2C, and SaaS clients, focusing on short-form video content. Dhakal is driven by a mission to build a world-class product from Nepal, fostering a product-driven culture and contributing to the growth of the local tech ecosystem.
