Richan Shrestha
Richan Shrestha is a tech entrepreneur from Surkhet, Nepal, who graduated from Pulchowk Campus in 2005 with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Choosing a career in programming, he worked for several international companies before launching his first mobile startup in 2010. This venture produced Anlocate, a pioneering mapping application that won Nepal's first World Bank-funded startup competition, Pivot Nepal. In 2012, Shrestha joined Leapfrog Technology as Senior Vice President, where he spent seven years building the company's engineering culture and developing early mobile banking systems in Nepal before exiting in 2019.
Following a year-long sabbatical, Shrestha co-founded Quick Fox Consulting, where he led the development of Quick RPA, a robotic process automation product now utilized by major Nepali banks and telecommunications companies. He also established Quick Fox Technologies in 2022 to capture opportunities in the global outsourcing market. As the founding president of the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies, known as NAS-IT, Shrestha actively advocates for favorable IT policies, workforce development, and global market access to help establish Nepal as a prominent international technology hub.
