Kawish Shrestha

Kawish Shrestha is a co-founder of Sajilo Sewa, a digital service marketplace in Nepal that began as a classroom project during his MBA studies. After completing his degree in 2017, Kawish chose to forgo a job offer from Surya Nepal to pursue entrepreneurship, despite the risks of starting a handyman service company when similar businesses had recently failed. Alongside his co-founders, he conducted hands-on market research and navigated the company's early challenges, which led to a strategic pivot from household services to business-to-business subscriptions. His efforts helped establish the company's first Annual Maintenance Contracts and eventually guided the business through a successful rebranding process.

Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, Kawish has played a key role in optimizing Sajilo Sewa's operations and preparing the company for scale. He helped secure a milestone-based investment commitment of 100 million over five years from TNA, a process he likened to a long-term relationship that required aligning the mindsets of the founders and venture capitalists. Kawish views entrepreneurship not as a path to personal freedom, but as a deep responsibility to his employees and technicians. He encourages young Nepalis to gain practical work experience and focus on becoming active solution-finders for the challenges within their country.
