Bijay Gautam

Bijay Gautam is a technology professional and entrepreneur who spent fourteen years living and working in the United States before returning to Nepal. After completing his undergraduate studies in communication electronics engineering in Nepal, he moved to the United States to pursue a master's degree in digital signal processing, focusing his thesis on artificial intelligence. He went on to build a distinguished career in the tech industry, working at Qualcomm before spending six and a half years at Apple. During his tenure at Apple, he worked in big data and information security, specializing in migrating traditional technologies to big data platforms. Currently, he serves on the board of the Nepalese IT company KTM Bridge.

Throughout his career, Gautam has been actively involved in entrepreneurship and political advocacy. While living abroad, he co-founded a tech company aimed at digitizing Nepalese hospitals through an information management system, and he has recently developed campaign management software to help politicians streamline their digital presence. Deeply passionate about socio-economic reform in Nepal, he previously served as the United States coordinator for the Bibeksheel Movement. He is a vocal advocate for policy reform, particularly lobbying for gender-neutral inheritance laws that grant young people earlier access to family assets to serve as vital business capital.
